E. Clarke Porter
Vice President and General Manager

Clarke Porter has been a major driving force in the computer-based testing industry since its inception. With more than 30 years of experience in the industry, he has served in such varied roles as co-founder, chief executive officer, and president for several high-volume testing and certification companies. He also developed the first commercial computerized testing technology at Control Data Corporation. Through key partnerships with information technology (IT) industry players such as Novell and others, Clarke did seminal work building the IT certification concept, business model, and infrastructure, which encompassed all aspects of the value chain including skills development, assessment and high-stakes testing. He is currently responsible for executing Pearson VUE’s strategy as it pertains to enterprise credential management and verification services. Clarke holds an MS in Education from Johns Hopkins University and a BA in Mathematics from Towson State College (Towson University) in Towson, Baltimore County, Maryland.

Mark D. Johnson
Vice President, Career and Credentialing Services

As vice president, Career and Credentialing Services, Mark Johnson has taken the natural next step in a career of creating and growing new ventures for the PreK-20 and Workforce Technology markets; including large-scale data systems, college and career readiness, ePortfolio, credential management, and learning technologies. In addition to working extensively on mergers and acquisitions and identifying new opportunities for Pearson, Mark recently led product management, marketing, business development and growth strategy for Pearson Data Solutions. Just prior to joining Pearson Credential Management, he served as vice president of strategy & innovation for Pearson Education.

Mark was co-founder and president of the National Transcript Center when Pearson acquired it in March 2009. Prior to that, he served as chief operations officer for ESP Solutions group and was co-founder and president of Highwired. Mark holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship/Marketing from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts and a BA in History and English from The University of Texas at Austin.

Kirk D. Lundeen
Vice President, Sales and Operations

As vice president of sales and operations for Pearson Credential Management, Kirk Lundeen is responsible for business development in the information technology, professional, and regulatory markets. In this role, he makes certain that clients implement credentialing solutions in a way that helps them maximize revenue, control costs, and drive the value of their certification programs. Once implemented, Kirk is responsible for all aspects of ongoing customer service, including management of the client services and operations teams to make certain that appropriate service levels are achieved.

Kirk formerly served as an executive and co-founder of Virtual University Enterprises (now Pearson VUE), Prometric, and Integral7 (now Pearson Credential Management), where he acquired broad experience in leading customer service organizations and building global infrastructure. With 22 years of leadership in the industry, Kirk was a critical leader in building the worldwide infrastructure for the computer-based testing industry. Kirk holds a BA in Management and Economics from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Matt K. Stone
Vice President, Product Marketing

Matt Stone leads the product design and marketing efforts for Pearson Credential Management. He is responsible for translating corporate strategy, sales requests, and client needs into deliverable software requirements and shepherding new functionality though the development and delivery processes. Matt was a co-founder of Integral7 (now Pearson Credential Management), where he pioneered credential data management and credential verification services for certification boards, candidates, and employers.

Previously, Matt led IT Operations and Telecommunications for Virtual University Enterprises (now Pearson VUE) as the company rolled out international hosting and call center services based in Minneapolis, Amsterdam, Sydney, Beijing and Tokyo, ultimately serving 91 countries in 10 languages. As VUE transitioned to a testing services company, he grew the IT organization to deliver world-wide technical support and application hosting services to 1,500 VUE Testing Centers. Matt holds a BS in Geology from Carleton College, Northfield, Minnesota.

Matt Forster, PMP
Director, Product Planning and Client Services

Matt Forster is a gifted manager with extensive experience in product management, customer service, business development, and software implementation. As director of product planning and client services, he is responsible for leading the customer service team that provides first- and second-tier customer support for Pearson’s Credential Manager™ software.

Matt was a founding member of Integral7 (now Pearson Credential Management) and has served as a member of its leadership team through 10 years of growth. In addition, he was also a member of the management team for Ian Alliott, Inc. – a performance and process management consulting firm focused on implementing solutions to measure and maximize their clients' business effectiveness – contributing to the growth in annual revenue from $100,000 to $850,000 within two years. Matt holds a BA in Chemistry from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, and the Project Management Professional (PMP) credential from the Project Management Institute, headquartered in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.
